Another month and another late update on your progress and growth. I would apologize for the delay but I have spent my free time cuddling you, playing with your sister, and enjoying date nights with Daddy. I think it is far more important to be living life with family than blogging about it. And hopefully, when you look back on these updates some day you will agree. Here’s what is happening with you this month….
Height & Weight: At your 4 month check-up, you weighed 16 lbs and measured at 24 inches long. Just for the fun of comparison, your sister was 14.6 lbs and 25 inches long at the same age.
Eating: With the approval of your pediatrician, we have started adding 2 teaspoons of rice cereal to your bottles (to help with satiety and some reflux issues. You are now taking 5 ounces every 3 hour.
Sleeping: Your sleeping patterns have become quite consistent this month. You wake-up between 6:15 and 6:30 each morning, take 2 long naps (more than an hour) each day, and 1 short afternoon nap. You are now going to bed at 7:00 p.m. and sleeping thru the night (fingers crossed that Mama didn’t just jinx you).
New this month: You are fully in the throes of teething. Your poor fingers have red marks and blisters from where you are chewing on them. You also chew on your paci, teething rings, and the fingers of anyone who holds you. You are now rolling over!
Your development took some pretty huge leaps this month, Emie. Here’s to seeing what happens next month!
