It’s the 2nd day of 2015, and while most bloggers have already shared their goals/resolutions/theme words for the New Year – I am just getting around to putting my thought into written form.
I have goals – and I will share those in the coming days.
But first, I wanted to review 2014. In 2014, I opted to choose a theme word rather than set specific goals. That theme word – Uncomfortable.
And I did spend a good deal of 2014 uncomfortable – but the vast majority of that was due to pregnancy, then a lack of sleep due to having a newborn, then adjusting to being a full-time working Mama of 2. I spent the later part of 2014 just trying to survive and find our family’s new normal.
And I’m okay with that. I knew going into that I wanted to adjust our family’s routine around Emaleigh rather than trying to force her to fit into our schedule. In the end this approach made things a lot less stressful for her, her Daddy, her big sister…and me.
But now Emaleigh is 6 months old (update coming Tuesday), our family has found our new normal, and I am ready to stretch myself a bit.
For 2015, my word is CONNECTED!
I want to be connected to my family – more date nights with Micheal, one on one time with Joycie and Emaleigh.
I want to be connected to my friends – girl’s night outs, phone calls to just check-in, lunch dates.
I want to be connected to my blogging friends via social media and here.
I want to be connected to my body – to truly listen to what it tells me and to act accordingly.
I am excited to see how 2015 unfolds and how my desire to be connected impacts the intentional life that I strive to live.
Your turn – Tell me your goals/resolutions for the New Year. Did you choose a theme word?
